Well here is my first roll of film exposed. Which represents the first 17 days of the project. As expected, some shots came out really well and others kind of got lost in the background. There is certainly an art to choosing between shots taken in bright sunlight and those taken indoors or at night. If I'm not careful the night time shots get lost.

Some excepts from my notes below:

..I spotted about six Ducati bikes parked in a row. A perfect opening shot for our project, but my Holga was at home....

Day 2 - How hard can this be? I mean how long does it take to photograph something. But here I was in Melbourne on a business trip frantically trying to photograph something interesting...

.. turns out the only place open in Hamilton after 9pm post the annual Sheepvention was the Court Latern - a Chinese restaurant in country Victoria - I had visions of the place from "Love Serenade"..

Horsham, what the hell do you photograph in Horsham on a wet cold evening?

This is really "Love Serenade" territory. I am drawn to photograph one of the many disused looking grain silos.

Day 6 - So this is my first aeroplane shot....I am sure there will be plenty more...

Day 7 - Subiaco Oval. ...As for the game it was a cliffhanger, but the Eagles lost (again).

Janet wanted a photo of herself with her pink Holga

Turboprop shot (Geraldton to Perth). Like I said, there will be a few aeroplane shots

Settler's Roadhouse (Day 10) and Amaro's seem to be completely juxtaposed (Day 11).

Melissa, Janet and another election volunteer at Hamilton Park Bowling Club

Michelle @ Pink Zulu - the latest glitzy restaurant in Napoleon Street.

Outside West End Deli, we bumped into Tom and Zara. We chatted for a while and as they were leaving I took this shot.

Day 15 - Bedside Flowers. A bad day for me, recovering from a big night on Saturday...I spent most of the day in bed and I eventually took a photo of the flowers next to our bed, given to me by our friend Lisa in sympathy for my Sunday state. I forgot that portrait shots don't work in this type of format..

Wedding dress desperation - didn't really come out.

Hay Street Mall - Busker sculpture. Photographed late afternoon with sun in front, using a fill in flash and low angle.

Can't wait for the next roll!
