34. “Margaret River Bush”. Down at Margaret River for the weekend, meeting with our architect and builder at our block of land down there. We drove down on Friday night and despite looking for a shot all the way down there, it wasn’t until we got to Hilltop Cottages and the surrounding bush that I saw my shot – the late afternoon light shining on the spiky bush plants. Unfortunately the shot is sort of lost between the adjacent photos.
35. “New Vines @ Xanadu”. Last night I dreamt I was Moby Dick. I was harpooned and went on a murderous spree of revenge – unending whaling ships and drowning their crews. Back in real life we had lunch at Xanadu winery after visiting our block and discussing plans with Mike and Stephen, the architect and builder. I noticed that the vines were just beginning to get new growth and so I took this shot to finally celebrate Spring.
36. “Soap at Margaret River”. More normal dreams last night, thankfully. After breakfast we went into Margaret River for a coffee. There was a small craft market in town and we bought some hand-made soap. The liked the colours and the arrangement of the soaps, so I snapped this shot, taken from the hip, so the framing was potentially hit and miss. But is came out OK, sort of straddling the vines and the next shot.
37. “Distracted”. Back at work after the weekend at Margaret River. It felt like a distracted kind of day, thinking more of our proposed house in the country than of work stuff. Riding home, I remembered that I needed to take a photograph on when I got to Oxford Street. Definitely a distracted kind of day…
