- I think about taking a photograph of the old dead trees scattered in the fields along the side of the highway.
- The Artrage building on James Street was bathed in late afternoon sun. I took this photo trying to avoid the passing car (an failed) and include the pedestrian (and just made it).
- This was supposed to be a photo of the “High Priestess” but I think I must have left the lens cap on because I just got black – and now a discontinuity between negatives…
- 21st August - Election Day. We were up at 5am to work at a polling station in Beeliar. I took this photo of the women from the local school P&A association who were hosting a fund raising sausage sizzle at the polling station. They played 80’s and 90’s music, which provided nostalgic memories during a long day. Melissa retained her seat, but her victory was tempered by heavy ALP losses elsewhere. The after party was a rather somber affair.
- Post Election Blues – It looks like we will have a hung parliament for the first time since, like forever. No one feels like a winner. We slept in and I finally ventured out into the cold sunshine to get bread and milk for breakfast. The sun was shining through the New Norcia Bakery window and cast a beautiful shadow of writing across the loaves of bread inside the display.
